Install
Reaper doesn't need access to your media, regardless of which install you pick. It has no filesystem delete path. Only Sonarr and Radarr have a delete path. Everything Reaper keeps is just one small data folder.
Pick your install
- Docker, just run
docker compose up -d. - Unraid, find it in Community Applications.
- Windows, use an installer or a portable zip.
- macOS, drag the app into your Applications folder.
- Snap, works on any Linux with snapd.
Follow First run afterwards.
Where the data lives
| Install | Data folder |
|---|---|
| Docker | the /data volume |
| Unraid | your appdata share |
| Windows | %LOCALAPPDATA%\Reaper |
| macOS | ~/Library/Application Support/Reaper |
| Snap | /var/snap/scythe-labs-reaper/common |
What to back up
You'll find three files in the data folder, covered in Back this up: reaper.db, secret.key and secret.salt. The key and the salt are useless apart. Set that up before you arm anything.
